Selangor Football Club (Selangor FC) today announces the departure of 11 players who have become part of the Red Giants’ journey, bringing pride to the club through their dedication, fighting spirit, and unwavering commitment shown throughout their time wearing the Red and Yellow jersey.

As seasons change, teams evolve, and every player’s journey eventually takes them in different directions. Ahead of the 2025/26 season, Selangor FC bids farewell to 11 players who will no longer be with the club, namely Mamadou Diarra, Samuel Somerville, Mohammad Abualnadi, Fazly Mazlan, Kim Ji-ho, Jeon Seung-min, Harry Danish, Mahame Siby, Raimi Shamsul, Picha Autra, and Omid Musawi.

Below are their statistics during their time in the Red and Yellow jersey:

Mamadou Diarra: Joined Selangor FC on 6 November following the closure of the transfer window. He made 27 appearances, played 2,141 minutes, and contributed one goal and one assist. Diarra stood out for his physical dominance, winning 58 of 98 duels. Beyond the numbers, he was known for his leadership and fighting spirit in defence, strengthening the back line with stability, aggression, and strong game-reading ability.

Samuel Somerville: Made 51 appearances for the Red Giants since 2022, accumulating 4,201 minutes and 19 clean sheets. One of his standout performances came in the 2023 Super League clash against Kedah Darul Aman FC, where he produced several crucial saves to secure a 1-0 victory that helped Selangor’s path to ACL Two qualification. Another memorable display came in July 2024 against KL City FC, where his outstanding double save earned him the Malaysia Airlines Flying Saves award for Matchweek 9 of the Malaysia Super League.

Mohammad Abualnadi: Made 53 appearances, playing 3,502 minutes and contributing three assists. He impressed in the 2025/26 AFC Champions League Two campaign, particularly in high-intensity matches where his defensive awareness and ability to read the game proved vital to the team’s progress. His performances at club level also helped him establish a place in the Jordan national team for the AFC Asian Cup and FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Fazly Mazlan: A respected senior figure in the Selangor FC dressing room, Fazly made 94 appearances, played 5,813 minutes, and registered two assists. He was a key figure at left-back during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, known for his strong defensive discipline and ability to shut down opposition wingers, which earned him a recall to the national team. One of his best performances came against Lion City Sailors in the ACC Shopee Cup™, where he played a crucial role in containing the opposition’s attack and helping Selangor remain competitive on the regional stage.

Kim Ji-ho: A breakthrough performance against Kelantan The Real Warriors FC marked the highlight of Kim Ji-ho’s time at Selangor FC, where he recorded one goal and one assist in a single match. That display underlined his impact despite making only 13 appearances and playing 370 minutes throughout the season.

Jeon Seung-min: Creativity in midfield stood out as Jeon Seung-min registered one assist in just two appearances (117 minutes) for Selangor FC. Signed mid-season, he showed early promise with a key contribution against PDRM FC before his progress was disrupted by injury. He also featured in the SEAN Club Championship final against Buriram United.

Harry Danish: A strong example of development pathway success, Harry Danish progressed from the club’s development squad to the senior team, making 10 appearances for Selangor FC. His consistent progress earned him opportunities in the Malaysia Super League as well as a substitute appearance in the AFC Champions League Two.

Mahame Siby: A disciplined midfield presence in limited minutes, Siby featured in three matches, playing 44 minutes after making his debut on 10 January 2026. Although his time on the pitch was brief, he contributed to maintaining midfield balance whenever called upon.

Raimi Shamsul: A graduate from the U20 and U23 setup, Raimi Shamsul made 10 appearances for Selangor FC after earning promotion to the senior squad. His journey included a senior debut in the FA Cup against Malaysian University, followed by exposure in the AFC Champions League Two and key appearances against Sabah FC and Cebu FC.

Picha Autra: An impactful attacking presence before his loan move to Bangkok United FC, Picha Autra contributed one goal and one assist in 14 appearances. He made his debut against Johor Darul Ta’zim before scoring his first goal in a 5-1 victory over Penang FC.

Omid Musawi: A breakthrough from the U23 squad to the senior team, Musawi provided three assists in 12 appearances for Selangor FC. His standout performance came against Cebu FC in the AFC Champions League Two, where he played a key role in attack and was named Star of the Match.
